Sun in Aquarius I - Dike Astraea

Austin Coppock called this season "the Mark of Exile" and T. Susan Chang named it "winners and losers" -- and both marked this season's association with the five of swords. It's a season of ten days that brings much potential for initiating your own activities and decisions — but Dike Astrea, the goddess of due process and orderly governance, warns you to keep your path both regular and circumspect. Where will you break out of stifling norms? How can you best use your skills to achieve what you want, instead of merely reacting to what others demand of you?

Sun in Aquarius III - Osiris
Feb. 8th, 2023 09:19 am Osiris, the Egyptian god of the dead, rules over the next ten days beginning at 8:10 pm EST on 8 February 2023. Called "The Knot", this is a place of untying, loosening, and severing what is bound, and releasing what has been tied down: sometimes with dedicated effort and attention to the topology of the knot... and sometimes with the swiftly applied edge of a sharp blade. What are you bound to, and where do you seek freedom? What entanglements need to be loosened, or cut entirely? These disconnections will stand out and be highlighted as the Sun prepares for its annual conference with Saturn in his place of power just before noon on February 16. https://andrewbwatt.com/2023/02/08/sun-in-aquarius-iii-osiris-2/
Sun in Aquarius I — Dike
Jan. 20th, 2023 11:44 amAt 3:30 am EST on 20 January 2023, the Sun entered Aquarius I "The Mark of Exile", where Dike the goddess of responsibility and justice dwells. Less inclined to capital punishment, she offers critique and retribution through fines, fees, community service, and tasks that feel odious like jury duty or community kitchen clean-up. And yet, without her presidency, the world of our social responsibility to one another collapses. How are you upholding your duty to her? How are you failing to heed her warnings? In any lifetime, some such responsibilities fall to us.

Here's the column for February 8 at 2:15 pm EST today to February 18, 2022. Osiris, lord of the underworld in Greco-Egyptian mythology, rules these ten days. It's at this time of the year that the Sun is juuuuuust past the point where he's considered weakest in astrology, and normally this would be cause for celebration. However, Saturn his host has asked the Sun to tarry a little longer, for what awful purposes it's ahrd to know. There's opportunities for sex, for making commitments, for making a name for yourself — but most of all, remember that honest communication about what you want, is essential to a sunnier outlook.

Sun in Aquarius II — Phobos
Jan. 29th, 2022 07:38 am This afternoon at 5:40 pm EST, the Sun enters Aquarius II, the decan called *Heaven and Earth*, a place where idealism has to ground itself in practical decision-making, and where ordinary thinking has to reach for something higher. Ancient Greeks gave these ten days to Phobos, the ovewhelming terror of the battlefield that brings panic and rout —what did they know that we don't? Why should idealism and practicality clash with such ferocity that running away is a viable option?

Sun in Aquarius I — Dike
Jan. 19th, 2022 11:12 am At 9:38 pm EST on 19 January 2022, the Sun enters Aquarius I, the realm of Dike — a goddess of restorative or rebalanced justice. Unlike her vengeful cousin Praxidike who wields the sword while blindfolded, Dike wears the laurel wreath and views all matters with clear eyes — all efforts to restore what is out of balance are both temporary and require visionary insight. In the next ten days, consider what you can do to restore fairness and equity, at least in the short term.
