Sun in Aries II -- the Crown
Mar. 29th, 2024 10:05 amAries II (10°-19°59') begins at 1:25 am EDT on 30 March 2024 — called "The Crown", it's the ten days that include of the exaltation of the Sun... and this year, the biennial meeting of Mars and Saturn, and the annual conjunction of Venus and Neptune. More than this, at the Sun's ingress to Aries II, all the planets except the Moon are below the horizon — and this decan has long been associated with Persephone, the kidnapped goddess of green growing life and queen of the underworld.
What seeds did you plant 6 months ago, that now have the opportunity to break forth? What are the possibilities for deep, wordless love in your life? Who in your life will carry the story of argumentative passion, and who will be the bearer of cold-hearted cruelty? It's all part of the story of Aries II.

Sun in Aries II - The Crown / Persephone
Mar. 30th, 2023 07:18 am The Sun enters Aries II *The Crown* today at 7:34 pm EDT — ruled by Persephone in myth, and administered by the Sun in traditional astrology, it should make us wonder... Who is really in charge around here? The Quick? or the Dead? And who should we be looking out for? Ourselves? Or the Others?

Sun in Aries I - Aidoneus
Mar. 20th, 2023 06:52 am The Sun enters Aries today, and with it Aries I — "The Double Bladed Axe", the realm of Aidoneus, whose name means "the hidden one". Hades is better described as a title, in the same way that "Harry and Meghan" are the Duke and Duchess of Sussex — but Aidoneus is his name. The fire of Aries is in a sense, the Fire Below being rekindled: the earth responding to the approaching Sun's warmth and light with new heat of its own. What is below the ground, can rise above it; what is dead, can be reborn.

Sun in Aries III: Eros
Apr. 8th, 2022 05:27 pm https://andrewbwatt.com/2022/04/08/sun-in-aries-iii-eros/ <-- The Sun enters Aries III at 5:18 pm EDT tomorrow: the realm of Eros, son of Venus and god of desire. What we want and what we get to ahve is often out of balance; we're suspicious when we're told we can have what we want... or when someone appears to be letting their own desires supercede our own. Where do your desires get you into trouble? How do the desires of others impinge on your own?
Sun in Aries II - Persephone
Mar. 30th, 2022 10:22 am https://andrewbwatt.com/2022/03/30/sun-in-aries-ii-persephone/
At 1:45 pm EDT, the Sun enters the middle decan of Aries, called THE CROWN. Administered by the Sun and associated in ancient times with the return of Persephone from the underworld, it's the place and time where the green ones start to emerge from their winter rootstock and seed, and begin to flourish. Several indicators in the chart promise a troubled and reactionary ten days, though, where we must respond to ongoing turbulence rather than make our own plans. Be flexible and open to shifting circumstances; don't blithely plow ahead regardless of changing conditions.

Sun in Aries I - Aidoneus
Mar. 19th, 2022 06:16 pm The Sun enters Aries I tomorrow at the moment of the spring equinox, at 11:34 am EDT. It's a season imagined as the kiss that Hades gives to Persephone just before she emerges from the earth — a reminder that she'll be back, and that he'll be waiting. The double-bladed axe is a symbol of that ongoing division between the old and new, the young and the old, the living and the dying, the not-yet-born and the already here. Anger colors many of these relationships, or at least a hot and ill-managed fire that is impossible to quench. What do you plan to subdivide, delegate, and manage better in the next ten days? What angers will you stir up by these necessary separations and divisions?
