The season of "The Hermaphrodite" begins tomorrow as the Sun enters Gemini II at 1:01 pm EDT on 31 May 2023 — the realm of Cybele the Great Mother Goddess.  

Originally worshipped as a 'Black Stone' (possibly a meteorite) in Phrygia, she was given to Rome during the second Punic War in the 200s BC, and moved to the porch of the temple of Jupiter as a symbol of the alliance between the powers of the eastern Mediterranean and Italy, against Carthage.  It turns out that the easiest way to re-shape a narrative is to add in a third character, or a third type of character — be it an allied country, or a new person, or a new gender.  Most people have a lot of trouble thinking beyond two... but most really elegant solutions to problems exist in a third option.  How are you thinking beyond two these days?
