Aries II is called "The Crown" in Austin Coppock's book about the decans 36 Faces, but T. Susan Chang calls it "The Kingdom of Gold" in her book 36 Secrets. It's related to the 3 of wands — and it's worth thinking about what territories you claim, what heights you're trying to scale, and what assistance you need to get where you're going.

Aries II (10°-19°59') begins at 1:25 am EDT on 30 March 2024 — called "The Crown", it's the ten days that include of the exaltation of the Sun... and this year, the biennial meeting of Mars and Saturn, and the annual conjunction of Venus and Neptune. More than this, at the Sun's ingress to Aries II, all the planets except the Moon are below the horizon — and this decan has long been associated with Persephone, the kidnapped goddess of green growing life and queen of the underworld.

What seeds did you plant 6 months ago, that now have the opportunity to break forth? What are the possibilities for deep, wordless love in your life? Who in your life will carry the story of argumentative passion, and who will be the bearer of cold-hearted cruelty? It's all part of the story of Aries II.

The Sun enters Aries II *The Crown* today at 7:34 pm EDT — ruled by Persephone in myth, and administered by the Sun in traditional astrology, it should make us wonder... Who is really in charge around here? The Quick? or the Dead? And who should we be looking out for? Ourselves? Or the Others?

At 1:45 pm EDT, the Sun enters the middle decan of Aries, called THE CROWN. Administered by the Sun and associated in ancient times with the return of Persephone from the underworld, it's the place and time where the green ones start to emerge from their winter rootstock and seed, and begin to flourish. Several indicators in the chart promise a troubled and reactionary ten days, though, where we must respond to ongoing turbulence rather than make our own plans. Be flexible and open to shifting circumstances; don't blithely plow ahead regardless of changing conditions.
