Herakles, in a lesser-known deed, enters a paradise & takes up the drop spindle tomorrow, July 1 at 4:48 pm EDT: Cancer I, the Walled Garden, where trauma's wounds are shown, and given time to heal.
The story goes that after the Twelve Labors, Herakles lost his mind again, killed people again that he loved, and needed to atone. This time, he was sent to the Queen of the Amazons, and there made to dress as a woman and learn womanly arts as a weaver, spinner, and embroider. Only then was he cured of the "madness of Hera" and made whole. Where do you go in secret to heal? In what ways do you cross the bounds of propriety and 'the norms' to be healed of your hurt? Who do you tell? How do you know it works?
