Tomorrow at 5:04 am, the Sun crosses the boundary between Sagittarius and Capricrn, entering the first decan of Capricorn at the Solstice: "The Headless Body", ruled by Jupiter, is associated with Akephalos, the headless one with sight in his feet — the representation of spirit descending into matter and becoming one with flesh. The season thus represents both sides of the matter-spirit dichotomy: is flesh a prison, and the world a punishment yard from which spirit seeks to escape? Or is it an opportunity for spirit to experience a delight and a joy which is unavailable in the supernal realms of rarefied essence?
