It belongs to Isis the goddess of magic and wife of Osiris lord of the Underworld, mother of Horus the bringer of daylight. Where are you putting your best effort? Is that effort enough to win the laurels that bring triumph? Austin Coppock called this decan "The Laurel Wreath" and T. Susan Chang called it "Your Time in the Sun" — either way, it represents the idea of achievement... but only achievement after long practice, not the lackadaisical effort that brings a participation trophy.

The Sun entered Leo II, The Laurel Wreath, at 3:09 am EDT on 2 August 2022.  Associated with temporary honors and short-term successes that don't translate well to long-term achievements, the season has the planet Jupiter as its administrator — a kind of fun-loving, generous master of ceremonies that likes to hand out participation trophies to all and sundry, and thank everyone in his speeches.

The ancient Egyptians and the Egyptianized Greeks of Alexandria saw these ten days as having a different ruler — the crying Isis, mourning over her husband.  Her tears, they said, filled the Nile valley to its highest possible point; these ten days at the beginning of August were often the height of the Inundation, the annual flooding of the Nile River.
